CHSD170 Announces Kindergarten Open Registration Dates/Times

Chicago Heights School District 170 has announced that it will host Kindergarten Open Registration sessions on Tuesday, April 11, Wednesday, April 12, Thursday, April 13, and Friday, April 14, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at each of the schools listed below.

Parents who register their children must bring their child's immunization record, birth certificate, and proof of residence. Per state law, your child must be five (5) years of age on or before September 1, 2023, to be enrolled in the Kindergarten program.

Enrollment dates for the 2023-2024 school year have yet to be determined. At the open registration, parents will receive packets containing all the paperwork needed for the August enrollment. Once the dates are set, parents should return the packets to the building secretary, who will schedule a Kindergarten screening appointment for parents and children to meet with the Kindergarten teacher.

NOTE: Any parent who is unable to make the above dates and/or times should call the building secretary to schedule an appointment that is convenient for both the parent and the school.

El Distrito Escolar 170 de Chicago Heights ha anunciado que organizará sesiones de inscripción abierta para jardín de infantes el martes 11 de abril, miércoles 12 de abril, jueves 13 de abril y viernes 14 de abril, de 8:00 a. m. a 11:00 a. m. en cada una de las las escuelas que se enumeran a continuación.

Los padres que registren a sus hijos deben traer el registro de vacunas, el certificado de nacimiento y el comprobante de residencia de sus hijos. Según la ley estatal, su hijo debe tener cinco (5) años de edad el 1 de septiembre de 2023 o antes para inscribirse en el programa de jardín de infantes.

Las fechas de inscripción para el año escolar 2023-2024 aún no se han determinado. En la inscripción abierta, los padres recibirán paquetes que contienen toda la documentación necesaria para la inscripción de agosto. Una vez que se establezcan las fechas, los padres deben devolver los paquetes a la secretaria del edificio, quien programará una cita de evaluación de Kindergarten para que los padres y los niños se reúnan con el maestro de Kindergarten.
