Jefferson School will host the year's final community outreach session. Read on for details!

Officials from Chicago Heights School District 170 say the final session of their “Coffee With the Superintendent” program will be held this week.

Those interested in sharing a "cup of joe" with the district's superintendtent, Tom Amadio, should head to Jefferson School on Thursday, May 5 at 9 a.m.

The neighborhood sessions have been planned as an essential element in an ongoing commitment to improved transparency and communication throughout the district, officials said. They have also served as a way to facilitate engagement among parents and community members.

“I welcome the opportunity to meet with the parents of our students and with other interested members of our service communities to share the successes of our schools and to address concerns and questions about our district," Amadio said, in a news release. "We believe that the meetings will help to encourage community, (as well as) parent and family support for our students ... classes, programs, and activities.”

Call the district's central office at 708-756-4165 with any questions about the meetup, or dial Jefferson School at 708-756-4162.
