CHSD170’s Greenbriar School Celebrates Veterans

Students at CHSD170's Greenbriar School celebrated the recent Veteran's Day holiday with an assembly and various classroom activities.

The celebration focused on teaching students the importance of Veteran's Day and understanding the sacrifice so many made to protect the safety of our country.

"It was heartening indeed to see our students busy creating cards, drawings, a video, and other displays honoring our veterans," said Greenbriar School Principal Joe Taylor.

"To see the students learn and understand more about the sacrifices that our military has made, some of them members of their own family, was quite heartwarming."

The school sent the video to the student's families to further honor the veterans' service as a show of thanks.

Keri Cialdella, Sarah Gliottoni, and Sophia Sanfratello were instrumental in organizing the event.

Los estudiantes de la escuela Greenbriar de CHSD170 celebraron el feriado del Día de los Veteranos con una asamblea y varias actividades en el aula.

La celebración se centró en enseñar a los estudiantes la importancia del Día de los Veteranos y comprender el sacrificio que tantos hicieron para proteger la seguridad de nuestro país.

"Fue realmente alentador ver a nuestros estudiantes ocupados creando tarjetas, dibujos, un video y otras exhibiciones en honor a nuestros veteranos", dijo el director de la escuela Greenbriar, Joe Taylor.

"Ver a los estudiantes aprender y comprender más sobre los sacrificios que han hecho nuestras fuerzas armadas, algunos de ellos miembros de su propia familia, fue muy conmovedor".

La escuela envió el video a las familias de los estudiantes para honrar aún más el servicio de los veteranos como muestra de agradecimiento.

Keri Cialdella, Sarah Gliottoni y Sophia Sanfratello fueron fundamentales en la organización del evento.
