CHSD170’s Wilson School Hosts First Daddy-Daughter Dance
CHSD170's Wilson School organiza el primer baile de papá e hija
On Friday, February 23, 2024, Wilson Elementary School held its first Daddy-Daughter Dance.
The school cafeteria was transformed into an enchanted ballroom with beautiful balloon displays, table settings, and Beauty and The Beast-themed photoshoots, thanks to Jymesha Matthews, the owner of Kiorcreationschicago, and Wilson’s school nurse, Nurse Jennifer Burrows.
The evening of elegance and fun gave daddies and their beautiful daughters time to enjoy delicious food, dance the night away, and build lasting memories.

They danced to songs such as “Isn’t She Lovely” and “You Are the Sunshine of My Life” by Stevie Wonder. Everyone was filled with beautiful smiles and looked stunning.
“Wilson’s first Daddy-Daughter Dance was amazing! Dads, daughters, and staff had an amazing time,” said Wilson School Principal Keyara Bishop.

“This was a wonderful opportunity for the dads and their daughters to enjoy a formal evening together. It was heartwarming to see the love between the dads and their daughters.”
“Everyone had a wonderful time, and I sincerely thank the staff who came out to support this beautiful event,” she concluded.
Other members of the Wilson School family echoed Bishop’s statements.
“The pride and love of all the dads was clearly evident by the smiles on their faces. All of the little girls looked so beautiful,” said third-grade teacher Natalie Lewis.
“It was amazing to see so many fathers/father figures come out to enjoy the dance with their daughters,” continued Keturah Byrd, Grade 5 Teacher.
“It was a magical night to remember for dads and daughters,” added second-grade teacher Lamese Grunstad.

El viernes 23 de febrero de 2024, la Escuela Primaria Wilson celebró su primer Baile de Papá e Hija.
La cafetería de la escuela se transformó en un salón de baile encantado con hermosas exhibiciones de globos, juegos de mesa y sesiones de fotos con el tema de La Bella y la Bestia, gracias a Jymesha Matthews, la propietaria de Kiorcreationschicago, y la enfermera de la escuela de Wilson, la enfermera Jennifer Burrows.
La noche de elegancia y diversión les dio a los papás y a sus hermosas hijas tiempo para disfrutar de una deliciosa comida, bailar toda la noche y construir recuerdos duraderos.
Bailaron canciones como "Isn't She Lovely" y "You Are the Sunshine of My Life" de Stevie Wonder. Todos estaban llenos de hermosas sonrisas y se veían impresionantes.
"¡El primer baile de papá e hija de Wilson fue increíble! Los padres, las hijas y el personal se lo pasaron increíble", dijo la directora de la escuela Wilson, Keyara Bishop.
"Esta fue una oportunidad maravillosa para que los papás y sus hijas disfrutaran juntos de una velada formal. Fue conmovedor ver el amor entre los papás y sus hijas".
“Todos la pasaron de maravilla y agradezco sinceramente al personal que vino a apoyar este hermoso evento", concluyó.
Otros miembros de la familia de Wilson School se hicieron eco de las declaraciones de Bishop.
"El orgullo y el amor de todos los papás era claramente evidente por las sonrisas en sus rostros. Todas las niñas se veían tan hermosas", dijo la maestra de tercer grado Natalie Lewis.
"Fue increíble ver a tantos padres/figuras paternas salir a disfrutar del baile con sus hijas", continuó Keturah Byrd, maestra de 5º grado.
"Fue una noche mágica para recordar para padres e hijas", agregó la maestra de segundo grado Lamese Grunstad.
