CHSD170’s Wilson School Staff Builds Cohesion Through Art

On Friday, October 25, 2024, a group of Wilson Warrior Staff members came together for a delightful team-building session filled with joy and laughter while bonding over the shared experience of painting.

This event was made possible by the Wilson School School’s Leadership Team and the inspiring leadership of Michele Brosius, a former Wilson Art and Resource Teacher who now teaches at Grant School.

Each staff member followed Brosius’ instructions to paint an autumn-themed owl canvas. Participants explored their creativity by blending colors and creating personalized art, all while laughing and bonding.

The staff not only enjoyed the activity but also showered it with their positive comments, a true testament to the success and enjoyment of the event.

“It was awesome to see the creative side of our staff in such a relaxing and fun atmosphere,” said Wilson School Principal Keyara Bishop.

“The event was filled with camaraderie; it was great to focus together on something aesthetic,” noted MTSS (Multi-Tiered System Support Coordinator) Phylis Marconi.

“I had a wonderful time relaxing and unwinding with my Wilson Family!” stated school nurse Jennifer Burrows.

“The activity was filled with lots of laughter and encouragement to one another,” chipped in Curriculum Specialist Karlin Ritter.

“It was a wonderful experience filled with fun and creativity,” added third-grade teacher Natalie Lewis.

“I was happy to come back to Wilson School and share in such a fun event!” Brosius said.

The staff eagerly looks forward to extending this creative art experience to Wilson School students on Halloween. Each student will learn about the upcoming election and the voting process and select their favorite owl canvas, adding an element of excitement and engagement to the event.

“It was a joyous occasion for everyone who participated, with each staff member creating a unique piece of art they could be proud of, and we extend a huge thank you to Ms. Brosius for her artistic guidance and support,” Bishop concluded.

El viernes 25 de octubre de 2024, un grupo de miembros del personal de Wilson Warrior se reunió para una encantadora sesión de trabajo en equipo llena de alegría y risas mientras se unían por la experiencia compartida de pintar.

Este evento fue posible gracias al Equipo de Liderazgo de la Escuela Wilson y al liderazgo inspirador de Michele Brosius, una ex maestra de Arte y Recursos de Wilson que ahora enseña en la Escuela Grant.

Cada miembro del personal siguió las instrucciones de Brosius de pintar un lienzo de búho con temática otoñal. Los participantes exploraron su creatividad mezclando colores y creando arte personalizado, todo mientras se reían y se unían.

El personal no solo disfrutó de la actividad, sino que también la colmó de comentarios positivos, un verdadero testimonio del éxito y el disfrute del evento.

"Fue increíble ver el lado creativo de nuestro personal en un ambiente tan relajante y divertido", dijo la directora de la Escuela Wilson, Keyara Bishop.

"El evento estuvo lleno de camaradería; fue genial enfocarnos juntos en algo estético", señaló Phylis Marconi, Coordinadora de Soporte de Sistemas de Múltiples Niveles (MTSS).

"¡Pasé un tiempo maravilloso relajándome y descansando con mi familia Wilson!", declaró la enfermera escolar Jennifer Burrows.

"La actividad estuvo llena de muchas risas y estímulos mutuos", dijo Karlin Ritter, especialista en currículo.

"Fue una experiencia maravillosa llena de diversión y creatividad", agregó la maestra de tercer grado Natalie Lewis.

"¡Estaba feliz de regresar a Wilson School y compartir en un evento tan divertido!" —dijo Brosius—.

El personal espera ansiosamente extender esta experiencia de arte creativo a los estudiantes de Wilson School en Halloween. Cada estudiante aprenderá sobre las próximas elecciones y el proceso de votación y seleccionará su lienzo de búho favorito, agregando un elemento de emoción y participación al evento.

"Fue una ocasión alegre para todos los que participaron, con cada miembro del personal creando una obra de arte única de la que podían estar orgullosos, y extendemos un enorme agradecimiento a la Sra. Brosius por su orientación artística y apoyo", concluyó Bishop.
