Chicago Heights, Illinois (September 11, 2019) – Marian Catholic High School hosted the 30th Annual Endowment Golf Classic on Monday, September 9, 2019 at Idlewild Country Club in Flossmoor, Illinois. This year, 96 golfers took to the links to help provide scholarship funds for Marian Catholic students. The 2019 Endowment Classic ultimately raised over $111,000 for Marian Catholic’s Scholars with a Soul.

The annual event featured lunch, golf, dinner, and a silent auction that included Notre Dame Football tickets, an autographed Eloy Jimenez White Sox jersey, a variety of golf and wine packages, and a Kate Spade bundle. Guests also had the opportunity to participate in a raffle with a Yeti cooler filled with over 15 different bottles of spirits as the grand prize.

Since its founding, students have received over $1.2 million in tuition assistance through the Endowment Golf Classic. Senior Oluwakemi Johnson, from Park Forest, a four-year Endowment Classic Scholarship recipient, spoke about how grateful she is to receive a Marian Catholic education as well as her roles as a Dominican Ambassador, a member of the speech team & robotics team, a senior leader in Anime Club, and a stage tech leader. “Without you, this journey would have never happened. I am so grateful. You are allowing myself and hundreds of other students to receive the education every child deserves.”
