Franciscan Health Chicago Heights Sued For Negligence
Couple alleges health group did not properly access condition of Joan Jefferson before surgery.
CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL -- Franciscan Health Chicago Heights has been accused of negligence in a lawsuit filed by a couple seeking more than $50,000.
Joan Jefferson and Jesse Jefferson filed a complaint against the health group last month stating that they failed to adequately access Joan Jefferson’s condition before performing a surgery on her, according to The Cook County Record. The couple alleges that Jefferson suffered serious physical injuries, including a stroke, during the surgery.
