Franciscan Health’s First Baby of 2024

Alana Cooper became the first baby born in 2024 at the Franciscan Health Olympia Fields Family Birth Center at 2:13 p.m. on Jan. 1, 2024.

Alana was born to parents Seriah Dobbey and Alan Cooper of Park Forest, Ill. She weighed 3 pounds 13 ounces and was 17.5 inches long.

Families with the distinction of having the first baby born in the new year at the Family Birth Center receive a gift basket containing baby-friendly items for the infant to help parents make it through those first few weeks at home.

The Franciscan Health Family Birth Center offers state-of-the-art equipment, a Level II special care nursery, labor and delivery services and post-partum/gynecological care.
