Free Masks For Chicago Heights Residents Saturday At City Hall
A limited number of masks will be available for residents of Chicago Heights during a giveaway in the City Hall parking lot.
CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — Residents of Chicago Heights who have yet to get a mask have a chance to pick one up for free on Saturday. Chicago Heights Mayor David Gonzalez said a free face mask giveaway event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 9 in the parking lot of Chicago Heights City Hall, 1601 Chicago Road.
A state order issued by Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker requiring face coverings be worn in public went into effect on May 1.
Gonzalez said proof of residency will be required. Those receiving masks must be residents of Chicago Heights and provide a state photo identification card or a current utility bill to prove residency.

There will be a limit of two masks per vehicle, Gonzalez said, and there will be a limited supply.
It's not known exactly how many masks will be available during the giveaway.
