Greenbriar Principal Joe Taylor Read at CHPL's "Family Reading Night"

Joe Taylor, Principal at CHSD170’s Greenbriar School, recently appeared as a guest reader at the Chicago Heights Public Library’s “Family Reading Night.”
Nearly 200 students, family members, school staff, and guests attended the event.
Taylor read, “Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse” to the appreciative audience. The acclaimed book was written and illustrated by Kevin Henkes.

The library provided prizes, crafts, pizza, and beverages for the attendees.
“Family Reading Night was a wonderful event that underscored the importance of reading as an important educational tool as well as showing how much reading can add to a family’s enjoyment as a stay-at-home activity,” Taylor said.
