Lansing Man, 21, Found With Loaded Handgun & Silencers, Cocaine And Other Drugs: Cook Co. Sheriff
The man faces felony drug and weapon charges following his April 2 arrest.

LANSING, IL — A 21-year-old Lansing man faces multiple felony charges after Cook County Sheriff’s Police found a loaded gun, silencers, ammunition, and a variety of illegal drugs while executing a search warrant.
On April 2, Cook County Sheriff’s Police Organized Crime Division Investigators working with U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations executed the search warrant at a Lansing home in connection with a firearms investigation, the Cook County Sheriff's Office said Thursday.
There, they recovered a loaded handgun with an attached red-dot sight, three silencers, ammunition, and high-capacity magazines, according to the sheriff's office.

They also found suspect cocaine, ecstasy, alprazolam, as well as 900 grams of suspect cannabis and various THC vape products.
Investigators took James Mangerson, who lived at the location, into custody.

On April 3, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office charged him with armed violence, unlawful use of a weapon-silencer, possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of ecstasy with intent to deliver, and possession of cannabis with intent to deliver.
Mangerson was ordered to Cook County Jail custody on April 4 following his initial court appearance at the George N. Leighton Criminal Courthouse.
