Lincoln-Gavin School Hosts Inspiring Black History Performance

On Friday, February 28th, the Lincoln-Gavin School was alive with energy and pride as students took the stage for the highly anticipated Black History Performance.

The room was filled with enthusiastic parents who eagerly attended the event to witness their children's remarkable performances and celebrate the rich history and contributions of Black Americans.

Lincoln-Gavin Principal, Mrs. Tricia Wells, expressed her admiration for both the students and the unwavering parental support.

"The parent support was outstanding as the students put forth great effort to present important moments and people from history. We are all so proud of our students," she remarked.

The event was an immersive experience, featuring student performances and interactive parent participation activities that highlighted the achievements of famous Black Americans. The students dedicated personal time to rehearsing their parts, demonstrating their commitment and passion. Their hard work paid off, as they delivered a successful and engaging performance.

Adding to the unity and visual impact of the show, the student performers wore coordinating T-shirts specially crafted by Lincoln Administrative Assistant Djuana Willingham. The theme for the event, "Love Will Always Win," served as a powerful reminder that, regardless of background, love and unity are essential in achieving great things together.

Ms. Katrina Moore, the show director, shared her enthusiasm for the students' dedication and engagement.

"I enjoyed watching the kids celebrate and become knowledgeable and excited about Black history," she said.

The Black History Performance at Lincoln-Gavin School was a huge success, inspiring students, parents, and faculty with its celebration of culture and history and enduring message of love and unity.
