Lincoln-Gavin Students Have Fun Celebrating Reading and Math Success

Students at Lincoln-Gavin Elementary had an exciting reason to celebrate as they reached their February Reading and Math goals!

After a month of dedication and hard work, students who met their academic targets celebrated with a lively Punch Ball Freeze Dance Party.

Throughout February, Lincoln-Gavin students worked diligently to pass weekly lessons and stay on track to achieve their monthly learning goals. The students’ commitment to success paid off, as many celebrated successfully meeting their target scores in Reading and Math. The school organized a jubilant celebration to recognize their outstanding effort that combined movement, music, and joy.

The Punch Ball Freeze Dance Party was a hit among students. With energetic music playing, students danced around while keeping their colorful punch balls up in the air. When the music paused, everyone had to freeze in place, adding an element of excitement and laughter to the event.

The activity not only served as a reward but also promoted physical movement and teamwork among students. This event was made possible by the hard work and dedication of Lincoln-Gavin's teachers and staff and who organized and supervised the activities and were thrilled to see students enjoying themselves after a month of focused learning.

“This celebration is a fantastic way to encourage students to set goals and work hard to achieve them,” said Beth Lamb, Lincoln-Gavin Instructional Coach. “They’ve shown dedication, and it’s important to recognize their efforts in a fun and engaging way.”

The school hopes that events like these will continue to motivate students to challenge themselves academically while enjoying the rewards of their achievements. As Lincoln-Gavin students set their sights on future goals, they know that hard work and perseverance will always lead to moments of celebration and joy.

Después de un mes de dedicación y arduo trabajo, los estudiantes que cumplieron con sus objetivos académicos celebraron con una animada fiesta de baile Punch Ball Freeze.

A lo largo de febrero, los estudiantes de Lincoln-Gavin trabajaron diligentemente para aprobar las lecciones semanales y mantenerse en el camino para alcanzar sus metas de aprendizaje mensuales.
