Man Shot And Killed During Robbery Outside Gas Station In Lansing: Police

The 53-year-old died at the scene, police said.

LANSING, IL — A man was shot and killed during a gas station robbery Thursday in Lansing, according to police.

Officers responded shortly after 4:30 a.m. to QuikTrip in the 17300 block of Torrence Avenue for a report of a person shot during an armed robbery outside the business, police said. The victim, 53-year-old Cameron Webster Sr. of Lansing, died at the scene, according to police.

Lansing police and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force are investigating. Witnesses are asked to call police at 708-895-7150.
