Marian Catholic Athletes Make College Selections

Six athletes at Marian Catholic High School signed with colleges on National Signing Day.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL - Six athletes at Marian Catholic High School made their college choices known on Wednesday, which was National Signing Day for college-bound high school athletes across the country.

Cameron Thomas, quarterback of the Spartans' football team, was the only one of the six to sign with an NCAA Division I school, committing to the University of Illinois.

A.J. Anderson will play both football and baseball at the college level at Robert Morris College in Chicago. Jaylen Scott will play football an Monmouth University.

Two players on the Spartans' girls basketball team made commitments. Mallory Olszak will play basketball at Carroll University in Wisconsin and Elisa DiOrio at Benedictine University.

Mae Van Beest will continue her water polo career at Carthage College in Wisconsin.
