CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL -- The Marian Catholic High School baseball team completed a stellar 2017 season as the IHSA Class 3A state runner-up.

The Spartans advanced to the championship game with a 4-3 victory over Champaign Central in the state semifinal on Friday then fell to St. Viator in the championship game on Saturday.
