Marian Catholic Students Participate In National Walkout (Photos)

Marian Catholic students had a moment of prayer before participating in the National Walkout Day in remembrance of the Florida victims.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL - Students at Marian Catholic High School walked out of school during the National Walkout Day movement on Wednesday. The students "marched proudly" around the school parking lot seeking an end to gun violence that is plaguing schools across the country, a school news release stated.

Students were joined by members of the Marian Catholic faculty and staff in the gymnasium for a prayer service remembering the victims of the shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida last month before the walkout.

Each individual life lost in the Florida tragedy was recognized.
