Marian's Haynes Takes 9th at State in 300-Hurdles

Marian Catholic's Imani Haynes qualified for the IHSA state meet in the 300-meter hurdles, after running a 45.76-second race at the H-F Sectional.

While only one Marian Catholic Spartan made it to the IHSA Girls State Track Meet, she made her impact felt by finishing in the top 10 in the state.

The Spartans' Imani Haynes, a senior, bested all but eight other 300-meter hurdlers to take ninth overall in the state with a time of 44.62 seconds. Haynes qualified for the final heat of the 300-meter hurdles by finishing first in her qualifying heat with a time of 44.60 seconds. She reached the state meet by running a qualifying time of 45.76 seconds at the Homewood-Flossmoor High School sectional.
