On His Game: Marian Catholic Soccer's Everett Senetar Stands Tall in the Nets
Spartans' keeper Everett Senetar does his best work between the pipes. But he enjoys scuba diving and his goal one day is to become a marine biologist.
Everett Senetar is the goalkeeper for the Marian Catholic boys soccer team. His strong play in the nets has helped the Spartans get off to a fast start with a 5-2-1 record.
The 6-4 senior has recorded four straight shutouts and five overall on the year. He said keeping the lines of communication open with his teammates is one reason for his success. He also reads angles well and has a able defensive line in front of him.
Senetar said it's important for a soccer keeper to have good hand-eye coordination, quick feet and an instinct for moving quickly from side-to-side in the net.

When he moves into the real world, Senetar said he'd like to become a marine biologist. He enjoys scuba diving as much as he enjoys diving to make a Spartan save.
