Roz Varon stops by Sarff Field to cover students from Bloom & Bloom Trail during a Friday flyover.

What would it take to wake up at 4AM in the morning on a school day? For Bloom and Bloom Trail high school students, when they learned that Roz Varon and her crew from ABC Chicago 7 were going to cover them for Friday flyover, hundreds of students showed up! The football players, soccer players, cheerleaders, ROTC, the Bloom Township band and other groups wanted to show their school spirit and they did not disappoint.

Roz interviewed Bloom Athletic Director, Joe Reda, Bloom Principal Scott Savage, Bloom Trail Principal Glynis Keene, Bloom Band Director Michael Bielecki and several students from both schools.

As the Bloom Township band played the school fight song, the cheerleaders jumped and showed off their moves. Excitement filled the air. Chopper 7 took video of the school spirit shown by Bloom High and Bloom Trail High. ABC Chicago 7 will have a vote for the best school Friday flyover at the end of October.
