Photo Gallery: Bloom Trails N.J.R.O.T.C Area Managers Inspction

Bloom Trail cadets were honored at the annual event including cadet promotions, cadet of the month award and much more.

About 120 Bloom Trail N.J.R.O.T.C students took part in the Area Managers Inspection on Friday, February 7th.

The event featured cadet awards and promotions, drill performances, pass-in-review and more. Bloom Trail principal, Glynis Keene couldn’t be more of her students.

“They had an excellent inspection today” Keene said. “I’m so proud of their accomplishments and their maturity. I’m always proud, never surprised.”

Awards were given out, Cadet of the month awards were presented and Cadet promotions were announced. Dr. Lenell Navarre viewed the inspection and was proud of their accomplishments.

“What a wonderful program, this makes the district proud” said Dr. Navarre. “I wouldn’t miss this, I wanted to be here this evening to show my support. To be here to show the kids respect means even more.”

David Estes from Lynwood, a senior at Bloom Trail was honored to be part of the inspection. He is a Company Caring Commander. “Today we did very well” said Estes. “It’s awesome to be part of an amazing group of cadets.” Estes has been with Bloom Trails N.J.R.O.T.C all four years. “My best memory is being with my unit and making so many friends. I enjoyed map and compass as well.”

Another cadet, Madalyn Joyce from Steger is also a senior at Bloom Trail. Her title with Bloom Trails N.J.R.O.T.C is Executive Officer of the unit. “This is my final AMI” said Joyce. “I started as a freshman, so I’ve been in this all four years. I really enjoyed going to my drill competitions. I had so much fun and have made several friends from other schools.”

“I’ve learned so many leadership skills” Joyce said. “This also has given me so much confidence. N.J.R.O.T.C is a great experience. I encourage incoming freshman to get involved. I’m so thankful that this program is at my school.”
