Prairie State College to Hosting Annual High School Juried Art Exhibit through Feb. 23.

Entries were submitted through the high school art departments and judged by PSC's art faculty.

Artwork created by talented high school students from Community College District 515 will be on display at the 2017 Prairie State College (PSC) juried high school art exhibit, “Creative Pulse.” The exhibit is open Feb. 9 through 23 in the Christopher Art Gallery, located on PSC’s main campus at 202 S. Halsted St. in Chicago Heights.

This annual exhibit is curated by PSC art faculty member, Associate Professor Rebecca Slagle, and features a variety of media, including sculpture, photography, drawing, graphic design, computer art and painting.

Entries were submitted through the high school art departments and judged by PSC’s art faculty. Winners of this year’s art exhibit will be announced at the award ceremony and reception on Thursday, Feb. 9, from 5 to 7 p.m., in the gallery.

The Christopher Art Gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. Visits also can be made by appointment. For more information about the exhibit or to make an appointment for a visit, call (708) 709-7738.
