PSC Hosting Diversity Business Procurement Event
Attendees will learn about the business procurement process as it relates to securing contracts with PSC and other government agencies.
On Tuesday, Nov. 19, Prairie State College is hosting a Diversity Business Procurement event, featuring breakfast, information sessions, a luncheon and networking. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Conference Center of the college's main campus, located at 202 S. Halsted St. in Chicago Heights.
Attendees will learn about the business procurement process as it relates to securing contracts with Prairie State College and other government agencies. Local, state, and federal representatives will provide the information businesses need to bid on projects successfully.
Local agencies participating include the Illinois Community College Board, Prairie State College and the Capital Development Board. Stage agencies represented include the Illinois Tollway and the Illinois Central Procurement Office. The U.S. Small Business Administration will represent the federal interests. A certification panel discussion will follow the morning presentations. Agencies represented in the panel include Cook County Procurement, Capital Development Board, Metra, and Illinois Central Management Services.

The event will conclude with lunch and networking.
This event is free and open to the public, and sponsored by the Construction Business Development Center (an Illinois Tollway technical assistance agency). Breakfast and lunch are catered by JUS SANDWICHES, a BEP WMBE/VOSB certified vendor.
