PSC Speech Team Brings Home Accolades from Tournament

Prairie State College (PSC) students recently participated in a speech tournament at Moraine Valley Community College. The team placed seventh overall, and several team members brought home individual awards.

Elijah Leake of Flossmoor placed fourth in Communication Analysis. Chelsea Boyde of Tinley Park placed fifth in Informative Speech. Julia Porco of Matteson placed fifth in Speech to Entertain. Additional team members competing were Cahron Cross of Homewood, Destiny Cunningham of Sauk Village and Esmeralda Manzo of Steger.

After the competition, team members said that the tournament was a fun learning experience, and that they look forward to refining their skills for the next tournament.
