PSC Workshop to Focus on Increasing Cultural Awareness

Participants will be positioned to gain knowledge of differences, as well as increase levels of communication and cultural competency.

The Prairie State College (PSC) Corporate and Continuing Education Department is hosting a special workshop intended to increase cultural awareness from 8 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, in the PSC Conference Center, located on the college’s main campus at 202 S. Halsted St. in Chicago Heights.

“Color Outside the Lines: A Workshop on Cultural Understanding & the Dynamics of Race Relations,” was designed to assist participants in expanding their knowledge and skills in engaging with diverse audiences. With emphasis on examination and exploration of cultural diversity, participants will be positioned to gain knowledge of differences, as well as increase levels of communication and cultural competency.

The morning opens with 7 a.m. registration, followed by a 7:30 a.m. breakfast. The workshop begins at 8 a.m.
