Roosevelt School Students Welcome Reptile Visitors

CHSD170's Roosevelt School recently invited students to a reptile show at an all-school, in-house field trip and assembly presented by Dave DiNaso's Traveling World of Reptiles.

The students were delighted with the program and truly enjoyed learning about various animals and their various habitats. During the assembly, several students remarked that the program was "like having a zoo in our school!"

Karlin Ritter, a Roosevelt School Reading Specialist, arranged the program and agreed with the students saying they couldn't wait to see the assembly again!

"This was a memorable and great learning field trip that our Reading Specialist planned for our entire school to experience these amazing reptiles under our roof. Our scholars and staff had an amazing time," said Roosevelt Assistant Principal Jennifer Rodriguez.

Since 1993 Dave DiNaso's Traveling World of Reptiles Show has performed more than 12,000 shows to appreciative audiences throughout Chicagoland.

According to its website, the Traveling World of Reptiles is an up-close, live, and interactive hands-on experience about reptiles and amphibians from around the world. The show blends learning with a unique style of humor to present an authentic experience, every bit as entertaining as it is educational.

La Escuela Roosevelt invitó recientemente a los estudiantes a un espectáculo de reptiles en una excursión y asamblea interna de toda la escuela presentada por Traveling World of Reptiles de Dave DiNaso.

Los estudiantes quedaron encantados con el programa y realmente disfrutaron aprendiendo sobre varios animales y sus diversos hábitats. Durante la asamblea, varios estudiantes comentaron que el programa fue "¡como tener un zoológico en nuestra escuela!"

Nuestros estudiantes y el personal la pasaron de maravilla", dijo la subdirectora de Roosevelt, Jennifer Rodríguez.
