Two men face drug charges after police say a heroin deal went down outside the Dollar Tree on Halsted Street.

HOMEWOOD, IL - Two men were charged last week after police say they witnessed a heroin deal go down outside a Dollar Tree store in Homewood.

Homewood police described the incident reported at 5:37 p.m. on Sept. 16 at 17510 S. Halsted St. as "suspicious activity," in which two men now face drug-related charges.

Andre Bibbs, 44, of Harvey was charged with manufacture of a controlled substance and Eric Clayton, 39, of La Porte, Indiana with two counts of possession of controlled substance. Police say Clayton was found with approximately two grams of suspected heroin and six hydrocodone pills and that Bibbs was "observed" passing the suspect heroin to Clayton in exchange for cash.
