1 Dead In Shooting Inside Harvey Home
Police believe the shooting death of a 33-year-old Harvey man is the result of a home invasion.
HARVEY, IL — Someone was shot to death in Harvey Wednesday night, police said in an NBC-Chicago report. The victim was shot multiple times around 9 p.m. in the 14600 block of Loomis Avenue, the report states.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the victim as Antwan Hawthorne, a 33-year-old man from Harvey. He was found shot in the basement and later was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
The shooting was over drugs, according to an ABC-7 Chicago report. Two of Hawthorne's children, a 4-year-old and a 5-year-old, were in the home at the time of the shooting the report states.
