Crack Pipe Found On Woman At Jewel: Homewood Police Blotter

Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia

Melinn Money, 54, of Chicago was charged with retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia at Jewel, 17705 S. Halsted St. at 2:40 p.m. on Jan. 18. Money concealed items and exited the store without making payment for the merchandise, which had a total retail value of $85.61. Money had in her possession a glass pipe, commonly used to smoke crack cocaine.

Traffic Crash

Kaila Ray, 21, of Markham was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving while license suspended/revoked at 8:15 a.m. on Jan. 21 in the 18100 block of Riegel Road.

Retail Theft

Paul Bryant, 43, of Lansing was charged with retail theft and criminal trespass to property at Walmart, 17550 S. Halsted St. at 9 p.m. on Jan. 21. Bryant concealed items and exited the store without making payment for the merchandise, which had a total retail value of $123.58. Bryant had been given previous notice that he was not allowed on the property.
