Andrew Lindstrom, 'Mr. H-F,' Dies At 66

P. Andrew Lindstrom had served as village president and trustee, but his "greatest passion" was Homewood-Flossmoor High School.

HOMEWOOD, IL — Peter Andrew Lindstrom, a man highly active in the village of Homewood, has died. He was 66.

Lindstrom was a lifelong Homewood resident who served in a number of roles, according to an obituary from the Tews-Ryan Funeral Home. Among them were village president and trustee, with the Homewood Chamber of Commerce and as a coach and umpire for Homewood Baseball and Softball.

He was also a PTA president and picture volunteer for Homewood School District 153 and his "greatest passion" was serving on the Homewood-Flossmoor High School board of education.

"He truly enjoyed being known as Mr. H-F and sporting his red and white suit around the school and sporting events," his obituary states.

A memorial will likely be held this summer.
