Senior Citizen Dies 10 Days After South Chicago Heights Crash
A 79-year-old Park Forest man died as a result of multiple injuries he sustained in a June 8 crash at Sauk Trail and Chicago Road.

SOUTH CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL - A 79-year-old man from Park Forest was killed as a result of a car crash in South Chicago Heights earlier this month. Leonard Cooper was pronounced dead at 5:44 p.m. on Tuesday at Stroger Hospital, according to a report from the Chicago Sun-Times.
Cooper was the driver of an eastbound car on Sauk Trail near Chicago Road around 4 p.m. on June 8. His car sideswiped another before going over some railroad tracks and striking a utility pole. The Sun-Times reports the car flipped over before hitting the pole.
Autopsy results show Cooper died of multiple injuries associated with the crash.
