Several Displaced After Fire At Senior Housing Complex

The fire broke out Wednesday morning at the 60-unit Jesse Jackson​ Jr. Senior Housing Center.

HARVEY, IL — No one was injured but several people were displaced following a fire at a senior housing complex in Harvey on Wednesday, authorities said. The blaze broke out at the 60-unit Jesse Jackson Jr. Senior Housing Center, an apartment complex at 174 W. 151st St., around 9:20 a.m., the Daily Herald is reporting. The Red Cross was called to the scene to assist, city spokesman Sean Howard told the newspaper.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
