Sex Offender Found With Loaded Gun In Ford Heights: Sheriff
Sheriff's police say Reginald Hughes had seven rounds inside a .9 mm Smith & Wesson pistol when he was found in Ford Heights Sunday night.

FORD HEIGHTS, IL – A registered sex offender was found with a loaded semi-automatic pistol in Ford Heights Sunday night after police responded to a report of a suspicious person with a gun in the 1400 block of Embassy Lane, the Cook County Sheriff's Office said Monday in announcing a charge of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon by a felon against Reginald Hughes.
Hughes, 38, of Ford Heights was found at 6:40 p.m. in possession of a .9 mm Smith & Wesson pistol. According to sheriff's police, it was loaded with seven rounds when it was seized from Hughes.
In addition to his status as a registered sex offender, Hughes is also a convicted felon. Police said he was convicted of manufacture/delivery of cocaine in 2008.
