Shelter Dog Escapes During Morning Walk

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL - A South Suburban Humane Society dog got lost Sunday on during his morning walk in Chicago Heights. Artie escaped while on the walk near the shelter at 1103 West End Avenue sometime between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., a shelter employee said.

Artie is believed to be somewhere between the shelter and Joe Orr Road, possibly following the railroad tracks. He has a black collar and was on a pink leash when he escaped.

Artie is approximately 30 pounds and microchipped. If you spot him, contact Dina Raymond at 815-573-2400.
