Shonda Rhimes Will Get Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame

The proud Marian Catholic alum who created Grey's Anatomy will be on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2018.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL -- A Marian Catholic High School alum will soon have her own star on Hollywood’s iconic Walk of Fame. The 2018 class of the Hollywood Walk of Fame was announced earlier this year, and the Marian Catholic Facebook page recently informed their proud alums that one of the 12 celebrities to be honored from the television industry is Spartan alum Shonda Rhimes.

Rhimes, who graduated from Marian Catholic in 1987, is a creator, writer and producer of shows like Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, and How To Get Away With Murder. She will join the late Steve "The Crocodile Hunter" Irwin, Anthony Anderson, Gillian Anderson, Lynda Carter, Simon Cowell, Taraji P. Henson, Eric McCormack, Ryan Murphy, Niecy Nash, Mandy Patinkin and RuPaul as television stars receiving their own stars, according to CNN.

Celebrities from the film industry to be honored include Jack Black, Kirsten Dunst, Jeff Goldblum, F. Gary Gray, Mark Hamill, Jennifer Lawrence, Gina Lollobrigida, Minnie Mouse, Nick Nolte and Zoë Saldana.
