Teen Arrested For Online Threats Of Violence At Rich East
A 16-year-old faces a disorderly conduct charge after police said threats were made on social media.

PARK FOREST, IL - A teenager was arrested this week on a disorderly conduct charge after police say threats to carry out acts of violence at Rich East High School were made on social media. Park Forest police arrested the 16-year-old on Tuesday after they became aware of the threats.
The teen was taken into custody and moved to the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center, according to police.
"We continue to encourage all parents with children who have access to social media to speak with them about their conduct on social media and the seriousness with which threats are dealt," police said in a statement.
