PSC Inducts 60 New Members into PTK Honor Society
To receive an invitation to join, students must have demonstrated high academic achievement and commitment to uphold PTK's four hallmarks.
Sixty Prairie State College (PSC) students accepted the fall 2017 invitation to join the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK). To receive an invitation to join, students must have demonstrated high academic
achievement and commitment to uphold PTK's four hallmarks: scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship.
PTK is the largest honor society in higher education with 1,285 chapters on college campuses in the United States and internationally. The Nu Sigma chapter of PTK was chartered at PSC on January 12, 1965.
"Membership in Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society is an honor that recognizes both the scholarly accomplishments of our students, and their commitment to continued academic success,” said Justin Pariseau, PSC associate professor of history and faculty advisor of Nu Sigma Chapter of PTK. “I am very proud of our newest members of the Nu Sigma Chapter, and look forward to seeing what our students continue to achieve, both here at Prairie State College and beyond."
