Chicago Heights City Clerk Lori Wilcox won't be going anywhere after winning the Bloom Township Democratic Committeeman race.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL - Chicago Heights City Clerk Lori Wilcox won't be going anywhere after winning the Bloom Township Democratic Committeeman seat last week. Wilcox withdrew her name from consideration for the vacant city clerk job in Grand Rapids, Michigan after already interviewing for the position at least once.

Officials with the City of Grand Rapids confirmed Wilcox dropped out of the running, WZZM 13, an ABC affiliate in Grand Rapids, reports. The city's statement pointed to Wilcox' victory in the Bloom Township race as reason for her withdrawing.

Two candidates, both from Michigan, remain in the running for the Grand Rapids job.
