Winning Lotto Ticket Sold In Chicago Heights

The winner of the Illinois Lottery midday drawing on Saturday bought the ticket at the Stop & Go on Chicago Road.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — A winning lotto ticker was sold in Chicago Heights over the weekend, and the winner will soon be $400,000 richer. The Lucky Day Lotto ticket that matched all five numbers from the Saturday midday drawing on Oct. 14 was sold at the Stop & Go Food & Liquor store at 2746 Chicago Road in Chicago Heights, according to Illinois Lottery officials.

Whoever bought the ticket should sign the back of the ticket immediately, and then bring it to one of the state's five lottery prize centers. They are located in Chicago, Des Plaines, Rockford, Springfield and Fairview Heights. Winners have one year from the original drawing date to claim their prize.

It wasn't just the ticket buyer who had a lucky Saturday. The Stop & Go will receive a bonus of $4,000 from the Illinois Lottery for selling it.
