Albums of Hope, a 501(c)(3) charity based in McHenry, IL, recently awarded a local cancer patient and her family with a trip to Disney World. Thanks to Albums of Hope supporters Kelly and Gary Breuer and Mike and Betty Fitzgerald, and the doctors at North Shore Oncology and Hematology in Crystal Lake, Diane Warden of Crystal Lake will enjoy sharing magical moments at Disney World with her husband, Jeff, and her little boy, Nathaniel.
Diane has just recently completed her cancer treatments and is getting back to the business of enjoying life with her family. “We could not be more thankful!” Diane shared after receiving the news. “Nathaniel invites everyone he sees to come with us to see Mickey.”
Albums of Hope donates pocket-sized photo albums to local cancer treatment centers and at events such as St. Baldrick’s Shave events and Relay for Life events. The albums are filled with uplifting quotes and beautiful photos to provide a lift of spirit to cancer patients and their caregivers during difficult times.
