VILLAGE OF LAKEWOOD, IL — Three juveniles were injured — including one who was flown to a hospital Friday night — after a tree fell on them in Lakewood, according to authorities.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the 7300 block of Gleneagle Circle at about 9:20 p.m. for reports of multiple juveniles suffering traumatic injuries after a tree collapsed at a single-family home, according to a news release from Crystal Lake Fire Rescue.
One juvenile was flown by LifeNet helicopter to a Level I trauma center in serious but stable condition, according to the release. Two other juveniles were treated at the scene and released.
Authorities have not released additional information about what caused the tree to fall or the ages of those injured.
