• Downtown Crystal Lake restaurant reopens after being temporarily closed due to electrical damage following 'power surge' (lakemchenryscanner.com) — Duke's Alehouse and Kitchen on North Main Street in downtown Crystal Lake has fully reopened after a Wednesday power incident damaged its kitchen exhaust system and briefly closed the restaurant. Following a short period where only the bar operated, repairs are complete and Duke's is again serving food, even as ComEd notes only a brief outage for about 1,300 local customers.
