• Crystal Lake Central snags 1st regional title from Lakes (shawlocal.com) — Crystal Lake Central's girls flag football team just captured its first-ever regional championship, rallying past Lakes 28–20 with two interception returns for touchdowns. The Tigers, now 13–1, ride a ball-hawking defense and big passing game into Saturday's Antioch Sectional semifinal against Harlem, hoping to extend a breakout second season for the new program.
