ASSISI ANIMAL FOUNDATION HOSTS 28th ANNUAL BLESSING AT MCC

(Crystal Lake, IL) Assisi Animal Foundation will host the 28th Annual Blessing on Sunday, October 11 at 1 pm at McHenry County College. All creatures are welcome to receive the blessing by a local official at the main entrance by the pond on the college campus. Animals should be on leashes or in carriers for their safety and that of the accompanying humans. A photo of the animal may be used if live participation is a challenge. There is no charge for admission or the blessing. Assisi Animal Foundation will accept pet food donations to be used for community pets in need.

Any donations given to AAF, a tax exempt 501(c) 3, no kill, nonprofit animal welfare organization, will be used to provide food, medical care, and opportunities for a lasting home for adorable cats and canines.

Assisi Animal Foundation (AAF) is the first no-kill animals sheltering facility in McHenry County and opened in 1988. Assisi Animal Foundation is dedicated to providing shelter, care and re-homing of cats and dogs to responsible, permanent homes. AAF is a four-time recipient of the “Excellence of Service to Animals and Public Education” award from Chicago Veterinary Medical Association.
