Cary Approves Littering Ordinance

The village of Cary drafted the ordinance after receiving complaints from residents over news publications being left at vacant properties, according to the Northwest Herald.

The Cary Village Board has approved a littering ordinance that putsΒ restrictions on how publications can be distributed in Cary, according to the Northwest Herald.Β 

Under the ban, handbills β€”such as leaflets or advertisement materialsβ€” cannot be left at vacant privateΒ properties and offenders could face between a $25 or $500 fine, according to the Northwest Herald.Β
