Cary's New Village President Sworn In

Mark Kownick was sworn in Tuesday as the 27th mayor for the village of Cary, replacing Tom Kierna who did not run for re-election this past April, according to the Northwest Herald. 

Under his first order of business as the new village president, Kownick declared Wednesday Tom and Faith Kierna Day in Cary in honor of Kierna and his wife, Faith, according to the Northwest Herald. During his tenure, Kownick plans to focus on updating Cary's comprehensive plan and bringing new businesses to the village, according to the article.
