Clever Ways Teens Popped the Prom Question; List of Area Prom Dates

It's not enough for a high schooler to simply ask a girl to be his date for prom.

Unless a couple is "officially" dating and it's obvious the two will be attending the prom, today's "prom date proposals" are much more involved and creative.

Here are a couple ways some area young men asked their dates/ girlfriends to prom.

Crystal Lake South High School Prom

"Enchanted Evening" Friday, May 3

Renaissance Hotel, Schaumburg

Tickets are $65 per person. Tickets can be purchased online through Friday, April 12, and then at the school next week.

Cary-Grove High School Prom

Friday, May 3

The Rosemont Convention Center, Rosemont

Tickets $65 per person. Tickets sold on select dates through April 26. No refunds after April 26. Post-prom event sponsored by Cary Grove Boosters sells limited number of tickets on a first-come, first-served basis.

Prairie Ridge High School Prom

"Diamonds in the Sky" Friday, May 3

The Stonegate Conference Center, Hoffman Estates

$70 per person. Ticket sales are April 16-19 before school and during lunch hours.

Jacobs High School Prom

Friday, May 3

Renaissance Hotel, Schaumburg

Tickets are $95 per person. Tickets will be sold through Friday, April 12 (today's the last day!).

Crystal Lake Central High School Prom

"The City that Never Sleeps" Saturday, May 4

Stonegate Conference Center, Hoffman Estates

Tickets $84 per person. Ticket sales start Monday, April 22. No tickets sold after April 26.

Huntley High School Prom

"My Heart Will Go On" Saturday, May 4

Renaissance Hotel, Schaumburg

Tickets are $90. Last day to buy tickets was April 1, according to the HHS webpage.
