The College Board named Community High School District 155 one of only 425 districts to the sixth annual Advanced Placement Honor Roll.

The College Board named Community High School District 155 to the sixth annual Advanced Placement Honor Roll for increasing participation while maintaining a high level of success rate. D155 is one of 425 districts across the U.S. and Canada to be honored; only 15 school districts in Illinois were recognized.

“This honor reflects the hard work of our teachers and students,” said Dr. Johnnie Thomas, superintendent, “D155 continues to offer new Advanced Placement courses for our students so they are prepared for their post-secondary endeavors.”

District 155 currently offers 25 AP® courses; the district is the first in the state to offer AP® Seminar simultaneously at all four high schools. The district continues to see a steady increase in AP® course participation and honor scores achieved on exams.
