Enroll Now for Crystal Lake Park District Lifeguard Training Class
Lifeguarding-the ultimate skill to obtain that summer job
Being a Lifeguard is a great summer job for teenagers and high-schoolers! It offers a fantastic opportunity for you to work outside during the summer and be a valued member of team. Lifeguard Training and Certification are the first steps teens must take to be on the right path for a job as a Lifeguard. Teens (ages 15 & up) are encouraged to register for Lifeguard Training from the Crystal Lake Park District. Students must be able to swim 500 yards continuously demonstrating crawl, elementary backstroke, breaststroke and sidestroke. Students must be able to swim underwater 15 yards and tread water for one minute. Students will be certified in standard first aid and adult CPR during the American Red Cross lifeguard certification. Students MUST attend all classes. Completion of the class does not guarantee employment with the Crystal Lake Park District. For more information contact Jessica Ortega at (815) 459-0680, ext. 1213.
