Jakubowski Named New Superintendent of Park Services for Crystal Lake
Erik Jakubowski will replace retiring superintendent, Dennis Jahnke.

Erik Jakubowski has been selected as the new superintendent of park services for the Crystal Lake Park District.
Jakubowski replaces Dennis Jahnke, who recently retired, according to Jenny Leech, public information officer for Crystal Lake Park District.

Jakubowski has worked for the park district since 2001, primarily in the position of Turf and Irrigation Crew Leader. He holds an associate of applied science degree in horticulture and a bachelors of science degree in business administration.
"Erikβs years of service, knowledge and passion of the parks and facilities in the park district setting prompted his rising to the top of the numerous and qualified applicants that applied for the position," Leech said in the release.Β Β

Jakubowski's responsibilities as superintendent of park services include the development, renovation and maintenance of all grounds, buildings, and park facilities in the Crystal Lake Park District.
He also will manage and supervise all full and part-time personnel in the planning and coordination of both in-house and contracted maintenance tasks and capital improvement projects, Leech said.Β
